The Spring Creek Correctional Center is a maximum security, state operated adult correctional institution located in Seward, Alaska. The institution has a capacity of over 500 male inmates and employs more than 200 staff.

A large part of Spring Creek's population is made up of what is considered the "hard-core" felon; those that have committed violent crimes such as murder and who will probably spend the rest of their life in prison. Spring Creek also houses prisoners from the other end of the spectrum; those who have committed less violent crimes such as burglary, assault, etc. These prisoners usually have prison terms from three to ten years.

August 2009, the Alaska Department of Corrections awarded the Hudson Correctional Facility as the preferred facility for the operation and management of 850 minimum and medium security offenders.

GEO provides secure care, custody, control and programming for Alaska offenders. Services provided by GEO include security, medical care, food, laundry, video visitation and transportation. Male offenders are housed at this facility and offers academic, functional literacy, education and work-based educational programs, substance abuse programs and health services programs. GEO assumed operations of the Hudson Correctional Facility during the acquisition of Cornell Companies in August 2010.

This medium security facility includes 35 acres of site development, four 2-man cell detention buildings, a 60,000-square-foot administration and support facility. The project also includes a 7,500-square-foot maintenance facility, an 8,000-square-foot recreation building, and a 1,600-square-foot gate house. Off site infrastructure work was also a critical component of this project in order to bring water, sewer, natural gas, phone, and electrical services from up to 2.5 miles away. Over 12,000 feet of security fencing was also constructed.
